February 15 Still breathin'Yet again, just a quick stop to apologize for net spending more time here and visiting with my friends. I'm not intentionally ignoring you, I've just been too busy to spend time on the net. I am alive and well, just very over-worked and (it seems) over-burdened, but I will survive and be back eventually.

 " and let anyone know I'm okay but still very, very busy with just this much time to be here.See ya all longer later I hope in the not too distant future. December 13 The faster I go, the behinder I get!Verily, verily I say to you.... 'tis the season.
Seems that no matter how much I do to prepare for this time of the year, there is always more to do than there is of me to do it.
Making a living ( i.e. earning a paycheck ) always seems to take up too much time. I do work 12 hour days (that usually turn into 13 hour days), so that eats up half or more of my days, including every-other weekend.
On the good side, using up the time (and a large portion of my finances) I have left in the day are my four children, six grandchildren and in no way the least my sweetheart
 . Maintaining a reasonably active social life with my family is vital to the "happy" part of my existence. Added to that are my parents, neice, nephews, brother, half-brother & sisters, cousins, extended family members ... well, you get the idea. On top of that, my youngest daughter's car recently broke down
 . Many hours and several hundred dollars from the "Bank of Dad" later, her car is still not running . She has two children, no job and no support from the fathers of her children. Get the way things have been going for me lately? By the way, my car also needed to be in the shop lately. $150.00 later it's back on the road. Good thing too 'cause work's too far away to walk to.
But this is a good day.... woke up again today (always a good thing), I am gainfully employed, not incarcerated (nor have I ever been), and there ain't nobody tried to shoot me lately
 . Wish I had more time to surf and blog and all that other stuff but have to run 'cause ther's so much more to be done yet today... no rest for the weary.

.It's been a very busy week for me so I've not had much time to play or explore. Seems that age slows me down from time to time, but this is the way of things, no?
Peace be with you all :) November 25 First time outSo I've never done any of this before.... just an old hippie with some time on his hands and access to a computer. Done plenty of searching altered-state-of-mind space... thought I'd give cyber-space a try. Interests: Well, let's see... I love my children (have four of them) and my grandchildren (have seven of them). I'm not married, but am in a dedicatedly monogamous relationship, i.e., absolutely, positively in love with my lady and in no way, shape or form looking for any kind of a cyber-love relationship. I really like the outdoors, nature, moving water and fishing (especially fly fishing, but I'm not a purist by any stretch of the imagination... also, although I do eat fish often, most of the ones I catch get put back alive... catch and release, ya know, is a good thing). For a while I worked for the state's oldest and largest conservation organization, but couldn't make enough money to survive in the long term so had to give that up. By doing something that pays well, I can better support the causes I believe in anyhow. Recycling.. fits into the whole conservation thing doesn't it? I'm an avid recycler. I hate to throw anything out in the trash, so I try to recycle as much as I can... now if I can only get to the recycling center more often I'll have more room to move around. I really like music. I like to tell myself I can play guitar, but I'm nowhere near as good as I'd like to be. I like the old classic rock, acid rock (gee, wonder why that is, Ha, Ha :) ), blues and jazz. Actually, I like almost any kind of music as long as it's well done and not pro violence. I'm also a peacenik... I believe in peace and harmony, however hard they may be to find from time to time. WAR IS A BAD THING as shows how far we have to go before we become truly evolved. So do locks and keys for any purpose other than to keep children from hurting themselves. So that's a quick snapshot... enough for now 'till I see if there's anyone out there. Okay, so there's more than ten... so what do you expect from an Old Hippie?
